This event highlights the importance of not only the development, research and technology of Zcash, but also the vibrant community and ecosystem that is being built around the protocol.
ZconVI, a virtual gathering of Zcash enthusiasts and experts, took place Tuesday, March 4 to Friday, March 7, 2025. This four-day event offered an engaging platform for learning, collaboration, and innovation within the Zcash community.
ZconV took place virtually from May 6th-10th, 2024. The theme was “Zcash Unified,” which focused on key community-driven topics inspired by conversations that were surfaced across the Community over the past year.
The theme was “The Future Has Not Been Written.” This conference strove for all attendees to not only learn about updates in the ecosystem but we hoped to inspire positive change within the cryptography world as well. Zcon4 was held in-person in Barcelona, Spain, July 30-August 1, 2023.
Zcon3 took place in Las Vegas from August 7-9th 2022. The theme for Zcon3 was “Code Alone Doesn’t Cut It”, focusing on the importance of not only the development, research and technology of Zcash, but also the vibrant community and ecosystem that is being built around the protocol.
Zcon2 took place on Tuesday, June 8th and Wednesday, June 9th 2021. Zcon2 was a virtual conference, streamed on YouTube. The first day focused on Zcash and its ecosystem, while the second day covered at broader privacy themes, including new research into zero-knowledge proofs, interoperability, network privacy, and privacy metrics. Zcon1, the second annual privacy and technology conference hosted by the Zcash Foundation, was held in Split, Croatia on June 22 – 24, 2019. Zcon0 was our first annual conference, and it went incredibly well. We spent June 26 – 28 in beautiful Montréal, where we were blessed with sunshine and warm weather. It was wonderful to have so many members of the Zcash community together in one place, including developers from different projects such as Ethereum, Monero, ZenCash, Siacoin, and the Coda Protocol.
