Edit the assignee of a work item with your keyboard

You can change the assignee of a work item using only your keyboard via the command palette.

To change the assignee of a work item with the command palette:

1. Make sure you’re viewing a work item either in the side bar or in full screen.

2. Open the command palette.

   1. If you’re a Mac user, press command + K to open the command palette.

   2. If you’re a windows user, press Ctrl + K to open the command palette.

   3. Search for the command Assign work item.

      1. You can also assign yourself to a work item instantly by using the command Assign to me.

   4. Search for the person you’d like to assign to the work item. Select the person by hitting enter, this will close the command palette and assign the work item.
