Add and customize gadgets

Gadgets display summaries of team progress, reports, and other data from projects and work items in a dasard. You can customize gadgets to display project and work item details relevant to particular users. View available gadgets.

Add a gadget

Before you begin

  • Make sure you're logged in as an admin.

  • Some applications allow dasards that are shared by groups of people. If you have permission to update a shared dasard, the other people with access to the dasard will see your changes, too.

To add a gadget to a dasard:

  1. Select Dasards from the sidebar, then select View all dasards, then open the dasard you want to add a gadget to.

  2. Select Edit.

  3. Select Add gadget.

  4. Use the gadget wizard to browse the list of gadgets and select Add next to the gadgets you want to add.

The gadgets that you add will appear at the top of the leftmost column on your dasard. You can configure each gadget to customize the data that’s displayed and how often the gadget is refreshed.

Add custom gadgets

In addition to our default gadgets, you can install gadgets from the Atlassian Marketplace or create your own. Note that adding gadgets to the directory is a restricted function in Jira Cloud. Discover how to add more gadgets.

Duplicate gadgets

When you're editing a dasard, you can duplicate a gadget and its configuration to the same dasard.

To duplicate a gadget:

  1. Select Dasards from the sidebar, then select View all dasards, then open the dasard you want to add a gadget to.

  2. Select Edit.

  3. Select More actions (...), then select Duplicate for the gadget you want to duplicate.

The duplicate gadget will appear at the top of the leftmost column on your dasard.
